Same geological origin
Taza marble and Taza stone both refer to limestone quarried in the Taza region. Confusion is normal: traders, architects and homeowners sometimes use both terms for the same slab. The useful difference is finish and use, not a mysterious « other rock ».
UNIVMAR clarifies from the first call: polished / honed interior → we gladly say Taza marble; textured exterior → Taza stone for façade or terrace.

Use this checklist before requesting a quote. If your project combines an interior hall and a terrace, you will often need both finishes from the same Taza family — colour continuity, different behaviour.
- Living-room / hall / bathroom floor → polished or honed Taza marble
- Façade / boundary wall → split or raw Taza stone
- Terrace / pool → bush-hammered, sandblasted or aged Taza stone
- Indoor stair → Taza marble; outdoor step → textured stone
- Large outdoor areas budget → Taza stone often competitive
Beige Taza and Grey Taza in both cases
Whether you say marble or stone, the flagship colours remain Beige Taza and Grey Taza. Beige warms villas and light façades; grey asserts a contemporary language. Finish changes how light reads: polish reflects; bush-hammer absorbs and grips the foot.
Always request a sample of the final finish. Polished Beige Taza does not look like beige split-face on a boundary wall.
Impact on quote and installation
A Taza marble quote and a Taza stone quote are not the same bare m². Machine time (polish vs bush-hammer), thickness, format and fixing system (adhesive, mortar, ventilated façade) change total cost. State use + finish + area for an honest price.
Installation follows different rules: joints, slope and drainage outdoors; site protection indoors. UNIVMAR advises on material; a qualified installer handles the work.
